As a
Marine Mechanical Auxiliary Engineer , you will
\n - Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness Division to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard - Surface Forces Logistics Center.

Responsibilities \n - Assist in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of marine systems, ship machinery, and related equipment, such as auxiliary systems, HVAC&R, piping systems.
\n - Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components.
\n - Perform design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases.
\n - Conduct analyses of various auxiliary systems, lead development of technical data packages and reviews. Conduct trade studies regarding auxiliary system configuration.
\n - Conduct mechanical engineering analysis.
\n - Create graphical representations of structures and systems.
\n - Inspect auxiliary equipment or systems.
\n - Assist in research of advanced engineering designs or applications.
\n - Prepare technical reports for internal use.
\n - Design, develop and evaluate operation of marine vessels, shipboard auxiliary systems and piping review.
\n - Develop technical data packages.
\n - Provide oversight on development of machinery arrangements.
\n - Conduct and oversee trade studies.
\n - Lead engineers in development efforts.
\n - Coordinate with other functional areas to complete ship design.

Required Skills and Experience \n - Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
\n - Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard auxiliary systems.
\n - Minimum of 6 years' documented experience with design, optimization, and integration of marine auxiliary and piping systems, ship machinery integration, cargo handling systems, and weight handling systems calculations and analyses.
\n - Progressively responsible experience in marine specific fields (i.e. auxiliary systems, piping systems, fluids and hydraulics).
\n - Experience with Auto-CAD.
\n - Familiarity with ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules and regulations.
\n - Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
\n - Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
\n - Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Work Location: On-site 5 Days - Glen Burnie, MD

Compensation The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
