Job Summary and Qualifications: We are currently recruiting for a Transporter to join our team! As our Transporter, you will be responsible for greeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and mode of transportation. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. What you will do in this role: You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas as requested. You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers. You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital. You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions, and equipment to appropriate destinations. What Qualifications you will need: At least one year of related experience preferred, strong interpersonal and customer service skills required, able to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs, current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation.
