Global Immigration & Mobility Attorney

📍 San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned attorney to lead our Global Immigration Team , delivering comprehensive legal support to international corporate clients across both U.S. and global immigration matters . This role combines hands-on legal work with strategic leadership, including oversight of international partner firms managing business travel, visa processing, work permits, permanent residency, and citizenship cases.

You will collaborate closely with a Global Program Manager and a team of 5–7 regional staff (APAC, EMEA, Americas), and engage directly with clients and co-counsel to shape legal strategy, service offerings, and team performance. The role also provides opportunities to participate in firm leadership, global program development, and client/vendor relationship expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of U.S. immigration matters (NIV and IV).
  • Oversee international immigration services delivered by global partners.
  • Guide legal strategy and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor global team members across regions.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and global co-counsel.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, including global mobility program growth.
  • Participate in AILA events, committees, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the U.S.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business immigration or global mobility.
  • Expertise in U.S. immigration processes (NIV/IV), with knowledge of global visa and work permit procedures.
  • Strong client service orientation, including experience with VIP/high-touch clientele.
  • Excellent communication, writing, organizational, and tech skills.
  • Experience managing staff and working in high-volume immigration practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency with immigration case management systems and productivity tools.
