Job Description - EstheticianJob Title EstheticianReports To Spa Director or OwnersJob PurposeEstheticians at Instinct Holistic Medical Spa provide exceptional customer service and esthetic services to guests. They are expected to ensure daily operations of treatment rooms are carried out in a consistent and professional manner. This includes following all treatment and guest etiquette protocols, maintaining proper guest communications, maintaining a high level of disinfection standards, stocking supplies in treatment rooms, cleaning treatment rooms in between appointments, fully cleaning treatment rooms at the end of the day including sweeping and mopping floors and generally ensuring all necessary tasks are being completed effectively and efficiently. The Esthetician provides consultations and recommendations for skin care products and services, provides appropriate skin care services, and sells retail skin care products to support client treatment plan. Evaluate client needs to recommend appropriate skin care products and services during a consultation.Performs in-depth interview sessions with clients including reviewing health history intake form, reviewing the risks and benefits of treatment, ensuring all consents for procedures, and using digital photography to document before and after.Performs skin treatments, chemical exfoliation, hair removal, and customized facials according to accepted standards of practice, after documented success with training on these procedures.Documents all treatments in electronic medical records.Makes home skincare recommendations for retail sales of skin care products. Mixes custom blended skincare products for bespoke client treatment plansCollects money in transactions, including cash, check, credit card and gift certificates.Assists with inventory and notifies Administration when product inventory is low and needs to be reorderedAssists with unpacking and re-stocking of products.Provides information and education to people inquiring about products and services.Attends and provides input at team meetings.Assists with marketing, including social media.Participates in events, including planning, set up, and take down. Attends continuing education as requested or required. Willing to consider those with less provided there is some other related experience that would suggest the ability to succeed.Computer skills and experience working with google workspace.Willingness to learn new software and systems that are used in the workplace.Experience working in a medical setting a plusWorking ConditionsPosition schedule can vary depending on business needs. Hours are not guaranteed and schedules can fluctuate throughout the year.Physical RequirementsThis position can require long periods of sitting and/or can require that you are on your feet moving quickly throughout the day.An ability to effectively manage time is required and staying on schedule during appointments is of the utmost importance.Estheticians may be required to move and lift large pieces of furniture and equipment occasionally.Bending, squatting, and kneeling may be required at times.Direct ReportsEstheticians may at times oversee the activities of spa attendants.
