CAR WASH MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Car Wash Manager Responsibilities:

The Car Wash Manager has the ultimate responsibility for leading all aspects of the car wash by setting the example for the entire team. The Car Wash Manager follows the Mission and Vision statement as well as educates the team on it. The Car Wash Manager is responsible for developing the team with a positive attitude, while exceeding expectations for the car wash. The Car Wash Manager supervises the car wash team and reports directly to the Car Wash District Manager.

Car Wash Manager duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist customers with their needs and demonstrate concern
  • Keep records, maintain inventory levels, and report any discrepancies to the District Manager
  • Maintain relationships with customers and associates, treating all fairly and with respect
  • Efficiently execute the Company’s Mission/Vision statement, corporate strategy, goals and objectives
  • Foster a work environment where good performance is recognized and rewarded
  • Responsible for ensuring all shifts are covered to meet business needs by contacting other managers/associates for help with coverage, getting proposed overtime approved by the District Manager, and/or covering the shift
  • Handle and act on all disciplinary issues/areas of concern according to Company policy; investigate the loss of Company assets
  • Maintain general appearance and cleanliness of car wash premises; delegate duties as needed
  • Responsible for all employees and store assets
  • Effectively lead, train, motivate, and develop team members and hold them accountable
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all customers and associates; follow proper incident reporting procedures
  • Possess a strong knowledge of car wash equipment and maintenance of equipment
  • Able to navigate mechanical issues and accurately report to the maintenance team by submitting a service ticket
  • Track chemical usage and communicate issues as needed
  • Responsible for daily paperwork, cash deposits, balancing receipts, cash and account signatures, and accurate calculation of weekly payroll

Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) Year of management experience
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% customer focus
  • Work as a team player
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • Able to work in all types of environmental conditions
  • Able to use appropriate hand signals
  • Able to work around chemicals

Preferred Skills:

  • Customer service experience
  • Retail background

Hours:

The Car Wash Manager is a full time position and works a minimum of 45 hours per week. Open availability is required.

Salary/Income:

The Car Wash Manager is an exempt, salaried position
